Metinvest, the largest steelmaker in Ukraine announced that its crude steel output in the third quarter of this year totaled 2.832 million tons, falling by 18% year on year, caused by the reduced output at its Azovstal and Ilyich plants.

In the third quarter of this year, the firm's production of rolled steel products totaled 1.925 million tons, falling by 25% from a quarter ago. Among them, 1.205 million tons were steel flat products and 631,000 tons were steel long products.

In the first nine months of this year, the company's crude steel output amounted to 9.579 million tons, sliding by 13% year on year.
