Japan Exported Iron and Steel Products in February,Rising by 12.8% Year on Year

Japan exported 3.6 million tons of iron and steel products in February, remaining flat from a month ago while rising by 12.8% year on year, according to data released by the Japanese Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, the country's export revenues generated by iron and steel products in February amounted to US$¥292.5 billion, increasing by 9.5% from a month ago and rising by 5.6% year on year. In February, Japan's iron and steel product exports to the US totaled 192,000 tons, falling by 17.5%; those to the EU was at 16,000 tons, decreasing by 57.5% and those to China was at 438,000 tons, down by 15.8%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
